Private lessons
One on one private lessons are fantastic to be able to work on things specific to you and your horse. These can be done at my home arena in Middlemarch, or at a location mutually agreed upon.

I would highly recommend Jenny Atkinson for barrel racing lessons as she is an amazing horsewoman which shows when she rides her own horses, she is so good at explaining her drills and why she uses them and they really do work. Jen is really easy to approach and is always willing to give you advice.

Jen has been my barrel instructor now for 18 months, during this time I have gone from a novice to being selected for the NZ Rodeo High School Team. Jen’s knowledge is second to none, she has a great way of communicating to all levels, her passion for the sport is next level. Jen explains things in nice simple plain English that you can understand. She always has time to stop and ask how you are at the Rodeo’s and lend a helping hand if needed. I would highly recommend Jen for lessons if you are able to. Jen will help you reach new goals that you only ever dreamed of with huge support along the way.
